Big news! 🎉
The National Science and Media Museum will reopen from Wednesday 8 January, following our once-in-a-generation redevelopment, with our ground floor transformed and the reopening of visitor favourites like Wonderlab and the Kodak photography gallery.
Join us for our reopening celebration on Saturday 11 January, featuring a very special partnership with Aardman studios. We’ll be hosting A Grand Day Out of our very own, right here at the museum. Enjoy film screenings, model making workshops and more, in addition to free family-friendly activities from our team of Explainers.
Then from Wednesday 15 January a new temporary exhibition, David Hockney: Pieced Together, will showcase Hockney’s pioneering approach to photography and video.
Can’t wait that long? We’re also incredibly excited to announce the reopening of IMAX from Friday 20 December, with screenings of Mufasa: The Lion King, just in time for the holiday season.
