A shot so nice they did it twice: ODD MAN OUT and THE THIRD MAN, both directed by Carol Reed and shot by Robert Krasker.

Julius Caesar is one of the most powerful, admired, and artistically depicted figures from Roman History. Caesar and the renowned events of his life were a favorite topic for majestic works of art over the centuries. These are the best. 🧵 Julius Caesar - Peter Paul Rubens

Why does everyone force introverts to “leave their comfort zone” but no one forces extroverts to shut up for awhile?

@FromAerin 3. Focus on a genre or author you enjoy, and go all in. While you work your way through one canon, you'll have thinking time to find your next literary obsession. 4. The Darkest Room, by Johan Theorin - terrifying, moving, compelling. I could stop reading it. (2/2)

@FromAerin My two penn'orth worth: 1. Some books you appreciate each word/sentence/paragraph/chapter. But some can only be appreciated at the end, in totality. 2. But don't feel compelled to finish a book you just aren't enjoying. Life is too short. Move on, start another one. (1/2)

So people that read books, and only for the people that read books. How do you find books that speak to you? I used to get really into a book within the first few pages, but now? I haven’t read a book that made me want to read past a few chapters. Doesn’t matter the genre.
