On pretty much all measures, Black women endure a worse experience of pregnancy and maternity care in this country than other groups. Filmmakers and friends Pip Bennett-Warner and Pippa Vosper have set to highlight the issue based on harrowing true stories depicting what some Black women have gone through in their new film 22+1. The NHS has launched a rapid investigation into maternity failings which the Secretary of State has pledged to enact. Please be aware this report does deal with the distressing topic of baby loss.
