Compression therapy ..... we need to reduce the fear and increase the use.

#TopTipTuesday and a bit of myth busting! Compression therapy CAN be continued when a patient has cellulitis, it remains safe and effective. The only reason not to apply would be due to increased pain levels - but reapply as soon as is comfortable for your patients! #woundhealing

Hemosiderin staining occurs when red blood cells are broken down, causing hemoglobin to be stored as hemosiderin, this leaks into the tissues during the inflammatory process and can appear red, brown or purple. It is commonly mistaken for cellulitis!
