My hot take is people don’t mind offices, they hate commuting though If everyone was able to live a comfortable life within a 15min walk/train/drive to their office they would probably go in more But this is reserved for the upper management and leadership that can afford to live near work

@pritika_mehta There was a video talking about how the american tax structure has changed for corporations in relation to their employees. they used to be able to get a 100% tax deduct for every new employee in the same year but now they have to amortise the deduct over a couple of years -

There’s something off about the hiring market. - AI has led to insane productivity gains. So ventures don’t need as many engineers, analysts, PMs etc. - Funding market isn’t at its best except AI. So, startups are hiring conservatively. - Big tech hiring has slowed down. 10 years back, everyone in my batch had 4+ offers, today new grads are lucky if they’ve a single offer. Result? Grads from even Ivy Leagues are having a tough time finding suitable roles. For those on visas, it’s a nightmare as they’ve limited time in the US. Is it a temporary phase or the new normal in tech?

Figured out react when I built the basic solidity project on buildspace and now its what I do, @_buildspace had such a major impact and I will probably not realise its true extent for awhile

I have some tough news. Today, @_buildspace is closing. I wanna be real about everything. It’s not because of investor pressure, runway, internal drama, monetization, or any of those reasons.
