This is essentially a pay to play situation, in which those with financial means are rewarded with higher grades, grades which colleges use for acceptance decisions. This is a very simple barrier schools can remove!!!

Just popping in to remind everyone in education that it is morally unacceptable to award extra credit to students for bringing in donations of any kind, but ESPECIALLY donations of canned goods, clothing, etc... for the holidays.

Why teacher appreciation week is important in 1 photo- spending lunch helping a chronically absent student catch up on what they missed. Rare is the actual lunch "break". Appreciate the food provided by our PTA this week!

I think this is the best example of why zero's shouldn't be a thing if you're using a traditional grading % scale. It doesn't take weighting into consideration, so it's not this simple for most of us, but compelling nonetheless

Need another example? If a student gets one 0 but then get an 89% and an 89%, they would technically have an F. Not yet convinced that 0s in averaging are to final grades what insulting your date's outfit on a first date is to your chances for a second date? One more... 2/
