Never a more optimistic purchase for an ADHDer

@AdultingADHD No one gets in trouble for reminding me that they need something. One of me team is super organized and loves helping me by asking what I can give her to do or what step is in my way to getting something done. We also use Asana to organize and stay on top of dates, etc.

Question for my fellow managers in the workplace with ADHD. Do you have any tips on how to effectively manage people and your workload with ADHD while looking after your wellbeing? Everyday is different for me

@HowtoADHD @Real_Theresa When I have to be really careful with time, I use a visual timer with an alarm. The visual nature helps me put the time into a visual chunk and the can “see” the amount of time I have left as it counts down.

For many ADHD brains, our sense of time is fuzzy, which makes time management...challenging. How do you experience time? Any favorite strategies you use to make time "real?" We may use some of your ideas in a book... my writing buddy @Real_Theresa will message you.

@GovTimWalz What about those of us that chose to have no children, and pay a disproportionate amount of taxes because we get zero tax breaks?

Under our child care plan, families making under $200k a year with one child could receive $4,000 a year for child care. Families with two children could receive $8,000 a year, and families with three children could receive up to $10,500 a year. Let’s pass this into law.

@ALMannixMD When my mom died in the ICU they tried for 45 minutes to revive her. When we arrived after getting the call that she had passed away, the entire ICU team greeted my family. I was so humbled by this. I hugged her nurse and I could feel how hard it was for her. ❤️❤️❤️

Seeing how much the world accepts that it’s impossible to move on after watching CPR really makes me think about how we (medical professionals, especially those who work in Emergency departments) are expected to just move on immediately after a code.

@Caissie I wrote my Mom’s obit, too. It’s such an honor and a out of body experience at the same time. So sorry you’re now motherless, too. It’s heartbreaking especially when you got a good one. ❤️

@LaurenCoker99 Mix in some ADHD and I have a depth of knowledge and can see patterns so naturally am put in leadership roles. I wonder if I’m not introverted like I thought I was but so exhausted from masking that I must rest and be away from people.

@ItsKieranDrew @Richard_Florida The funny thing about walking every day is that even though I only do a mile or so, when I need to walk longer (like on vacay) I can no problem. 5 miles…no biggie. And I’m a big gal! Just 45 minutes a day and it makes all the difference.

ADHD + RSD (Rejection Sensitive Disphoria) for freelancers: Getting upset over a potential freelance client deciding to go with another freelancer even though you had already planned on turning down the project due to it not paying enough.
