As someone who has only recently gotten into watches, I have a pretty controversial opinion.
The two most underrated brands in the watch world are Seiko and Timex.
Before you laugh, go check out some of the new Timex watches and then go look at some of the best selling Seiko watches.
While brands like Rolex or Omega have basically stopped innovating and are getting pretty stale, Timex and Seiko continue to release some really nice timepieces.
Both brands are doing incredibly impressive things over the past few years.
I just got these, for example. Real beauties.

@EylonALevy In a normal country, the governing body is answerable to the electorate, not a bunch of perpetually self appointed unelected elite bureaucrats with zero accountability.

אני יודע שאנחנו לא מדינה נורמלית, אבל שווה להזכיר שבמדינה נורמלית שר מתפטר על אמירה כזו, או שמפוטר במקום.

@GilR @naftalibennett As well! At this point I'm wondering what he wouldn't say or do to try get votes from the leftist anti bibi crowd. In the end they will betray him and vote for Eisenkot anyways and he will be left with nothing.

@naftalibennett I've lost so much respect for you over the past few months. I'm so ashamed that I voted for you each time you ran.

Addictive turn-based combat, a great story, and a clever Pictos/Luminas system that makes every build feel unique. @expedition33 is my favorite new release this year (still need to dive into @Borderlands 4). Might even write a Pictos guide.

@HilzFuld The only way it is not antisemitic is if the person who criticizes has been critical of other far worse governments as well as comparable western governments who have governed during war. Since most of these people have not they are clearly antisemitic

@charliekirk11 You have it inverted. Islam is using the left to destroy the west.

A very unusual, yet revealing discussion took place in a closed-door High Court hearing yesterday on a petition against National Security Minister Ben Gvir’s decision not to allow the Red Cross to visit the murderers and rapists of Hamas’ Nukhba unit in Israeli prisons.
Speaking to the national security minister, Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit was blunt. “Right now, what the world sees is that prisons in Israel are Guantanamo,” he said. “That’s what’s being published abroad: that there’s starvation, that dozens of prisoners are dying—it’s really the Israeli Guantanamo—and you’re putting us, the court, at the front, in the spotlight.”
Justice Daphne Barak-Erez then levelled further criticism at Ben Gvir. “Families of terrorists in Gaza also don’t know that they’re in prison, they’re prisoner X. True, they committed heinous acts, but not to know they’re in Israel? Even in the most difficult times there was never such a situation.”
She then turned to the head of the IDF Intelligence Directorate, asking, “is your organization so weak that you cannot handle a single Red Cross representative from the United States?”
How did the intel chief respond? “Even about this very hearing, the terrorists in the prisons are talking, and they are hoping you will approve a Red Cross visit.”
Still wondering what I’m getting at? While Israeli courts are asking Jerusalem why it won’t allow the Red Cross to visit the most depraved of Hamas terrorists, the Red Cross hasn’t even bothered to visit Israeli hostages in Gaza.
Remember what the Red Cross said in December 2023? Meeting with organization president Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, Netanyahu asserted, “you have every avenue, every right and every expectation to place public pressure Hamas.”
Spoljaric’s response? “It is not going to work because the more public pressure we seemingly would do, the more they will shut the door.”
In other words, when it comes to Israelis, the famed humanitarian group doesn’t bother to lift a finger.

There is no force on Earth that moves the world forward, creates wealth, jobs and prosperity quite like American capitalism. Nvidia - just ONE US company - is now worth more than the entire stock markets of most developed countries!
The Kobeissi Letter@KobeissiLetter
This is incredible: Nvidia, $NVDA, now accounts for a record 4.73% of the MSCI All Country World Index (ACWI). The MSCI ACWI Index covers ~85% of global equity markets, including large and mid-cap stocks. Nvidia's weight ALONE is now larger than Japan's 4.65% share, the world’s 3rd-largest stock market. By comparison, the UK, China, and Canada account for 3.28%, 2.97%, and 2.87%, respectively. Nvidia’s contribution to the index is now nearly as large as France and Germany COMBINED. Historic is an understatement.

@ianmiles @DrEliDavid Unfortunately the Chinese port deal was made during the Obama era when it wasn’t certain that the US would have Israel’s back, in light of the Iran deal. To be honest, it’s still not certain that after Trump, the US will support Israel.

Dr. Eli David condemned the Netanyahu government's policy regarding China on the Israeli Fox News channel.
“It's now clear to us that the real war is between China and the United States. We can see the war — the question that interests us is: where are we in this war? I'm not sure we understand where we stand.
I want to remind you that we are still on the list of pariah countries as far as the U.S. is concerned when it comes to AI chips. Everyone said that the moment Trump comes back, he’ll cancel it. I told everyone — he won’t cancel it because we ended up there due to our ties with China. That’s what the Americans are saying.
Just two weeks ago, the Ministry of Transportation gave China two more docks in the Haifa port — we don’t get it. It was published, it’s out there — and we still don’t understand. We’ll get hit hard. The Americans are already upset with us behind the scenes. I can tell you — we don’t understand where we are. We don’t understand that we’re part of the American alliance, and this mutual flirtation with China — we’re going to pay a heavy price for it.”

A reservist Shin Bet official was arrested last Wednesday on suspicion of leaking classified information to unauthorized individuals.
Sounds bad? Well, the story is actually pretty simple.
Ronen Bar told Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara a chilling story about the takeover of the police by Kahanism—as manifested on Tisha B'Av on the Temple Mount. Baharav-Miara wanted more information, but to Bar's embarrassment, it turned out that there was no basis to his claims.
In an attempt to restore his standing with the attorney general and his own people, Bar launched a secret and unprecedented investigation of the police, under suspicion of "the spread of Kahanism to the police" and ordered "a number of findings to be brought forward." This investigation also ended in nothing.
The attorney general was not bothered by this, and she included the false claims as part of her arguments to the Supreme Court, without noting that it was professional jargon for hogwash.
Then, I published a report about the sham investigation, which embarrassed both Bar and Baharav-Miara. But there's just one problem: they both have the tools to hunt down anyone who exposes them, and so they threw him—the Shin Bet official—into custody without a lawyer.
Why? What did he do wrong? How can he compromise a "confidential" investigation that led nowhere and had no basis in the first place? Will it expose Shin Bet sources? Well, when there are no sources, it is difficult to locate them.
In a climate where people care, even narrowly, about appearances and freedom of press, you don't hunt sources out of personal motives.
A serious organization would work to check itself to see what caused it to jump head-first into a false investigation, not double down.
