Congrats to Mitchell Mesenbrink, 3x WIAA State Champ & 2022 @ArrowheadActiv1 grad, on winning the 2026 Dan Hodge Trophy! 🤼🔥🙌 This season, as a junior at Penn State, he went 27-0, won his 2nd NCAA title & a 3rd Big Ten title. 💪 In high school he compiled a 135-5 record, captured three Individual Wrestling State Titles, placed 3rd as a freshman (with all five losses coming that year), & helped lead the Warhawks to 3 Team State Tournament appearances. #wiaawr

Congratulations to former WIAA Student-Athlete and 4x State Champ, Tanner Gerber for becoming a NCAA DIII National Champion at 165LBS!🏆🤼‍♂️ Gerber is just one of 33 student-athletes to become a 4x WIAA State Champion in Individual Wrestling. He won titles from 2019 to 2022, ending his high school career at Cameron with an impressive record of 162-4. #wiaawr

Elimination of the mid week team state qualifying event and weigh in will allow all wrestlers to focus on both their personal and team goals, the expansion of the team state qualifying process and qualifying teams, and consistent processes for all 3 divisions.

Today is milestone day for high school wrestling in Wisconsin with the passing of the new tournament series format. This may be one of the largest single changes for the sport at the high school level in the history for the state.

The @WIWrestlingFed hosted an incredible Junior Duals in Milwaukee. It was a pleasure to have a front row seat seeing the Junior team by keeping score and have hands on learning of the new USA Bracketing system.
