Update on Etihad Airways flight EY461:> the pilot rejected take off yesterday evening when departing for Abu Dhabi. All 289 passengers safely disembarked the aircraft and were bussed to the terminal. The Etihad aircraft has been safely towed from the runway, inspections have been completed and the runway reopened for operations this morning.

Heavy fog is still affecting flights at Melbourne Airport this morning. Passengers should check with their airline for flight updates.

Due to heavy fog, Melbourne Airport is currently in low visibility operations resulting in delays of approximately 30-60 minutes for arriving aircraft. Flights departing for Melbourne Airport were instructed to hold earlier this morning however conditions have now improved, and flights have recommenced. There are currently minimal delays to departing aircraft, but we will monitor conditions throughout the rest of the day. #melbourneairport #fog #delays
