honestly, if u know how difficult and how long it took some people to recover their peace of mind and happiness, you'll understand why they shut all doors at any slight discovery of toxicity, and also why they can be so picky about who they allow in their lives.

Maturing is realizing you don't wanna be around drama, stress or conflict anymore. You start choosing calm over chaos, and distance over disrespect. You start prioritizing your peace, mental health, and happiness — over everything.

so far in my 20s, the best lesson i ever learned was that life will go on. People come and go, we lose friends, break up with lovers, meet new people, encounter success and failure and life will go on. You will be alright.
