@courtcarnaby ABSOLUTELY!! 100% agree. I think the comparison between the nature of both Vik and Mels magic has been a focus for Fortiche for a very long time and should be appreciated and pointed out! But Mel should also be appreciated for her own stand alone narrative/achievements as well!!

@melanleiv yeah i do think this parallel has more to do with what the narrative is trying to say about magic and the arcane in general than the characters' relationships in general! i think on that level it's an interesting parallel. the rest depends on the future of mel's arc

Im all for separating Mel from any Viktor/jayvik discussion, because it is true she does not need to be lumped w those two constantly. But i also think people were quick to dismiss this parallel just for the sake of defending Mel (again in good faith understandably)
