I experienced this first-hand over the last 6 months (no work comp after my injury), this letter articulates everything that I’ve wanted to address for some time. It’s nice to know that we have intelligent advocates. Jockeys deserve much more. Key to growing + reviving our sport.

From @TheAthletic: A new book about the Lakers describes Russell Westbrook's frustration with LeBron James and his perceived “fake” habits. “This, in Westbrook’s view, was who LeBron was. And he was done putting up with it,” Yaron Weitzman writes. nyti.ms/4o0XyIi

I’m calling Onrise see if they can help me comprehend that I make a living of competing, that I can encourage my horse to get better placing up to 6 times but 7 can be consider abusive and might don’t get paid on top of it I’ll be suspended loosing more mounts.

@Racingwithbruno The jockey fine money goes to support jockey mental health services through a partnership we have with Onrise, an athlete specific mental health program. All other fines go towards reducing the amounts that horsemen and racetracks have to pay in HISA fees.

@LisaLazarusCEO @Racingwithbruno Try again, Lisa. Don’t underestimate our intelligence. Let’s be straight. How about we have a meeting - why don’t you come personally to each and every HISA-regulated racetrack and let’s have a town-hall meeting. Show us how transparent you are!

Tam 2 - 146.1 be 146.2 (speed 9/1) Tam 1 - 104.4 vs 105.2 par (just off 2/1) @meliIorio is as capable as anyone at judging pace and nursing speed, especially in a two turn race. Seized the opportunity to walk the dog through a first half in 50.1 with the 9/1 winner HC Holiday
