You keep saying I want the comic ending, but it’s not at all what I’m saying. The writing is just illogical and shows a total lack of consistency or ability to follow a narrative from Kripke and co. Yes, he quite literally creates “explosions” out of his eyes that could be seen all over the planet after he took V1. He took a man to space in 5 seconds flat in this very episode. The amount of force and acceleration required to do that is absolutely enough to demolish the office in the first clash. I’m not even complaining that he loses, that’s the obvious conclusion. The fight was just dog shit and completely underwhelming. The Season 3 fight was more realistic, and that’s pathetic.

Homelander tried to run numerous times, he was scared, you literally saw every attempt to cause more damage thwarted because they were there solely to subdue then kill.

@al17902 @doctorxkai Yes, The Boys, known for its brilliant dialogue on assholes and balls. The show was carried by extremely talented actors, specifically Starr. The writing has been abysmal post-Season 3, but this takes the cake as the worst season of the 5
