@Thorn558057 @godki99661 @SpeedyUnifier I think this is a major plot hole because in the story summary of shadow gens it mentions how the cannon was disabled after a “fierce battle”. The game made it seem way too significant just for it not to be canon. Sonic definitely made it to the cannon.

@SpeedyUnifier People always say this but ignore the fact that if sonic wins he destroys the eclipse canon which isn’t possible because it is used again in Shadow The Hedgehog. So the only possibility is that it was a draw that was interrupted by Eggman inserting the final emerald
