It’s been ten years since I came out as nonbinary, and it’s about to be 3 months since I had my top surgery. I am so proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m sure 21 year old me would’ve never imagined feeling this good in my own skin 🥹

I wasn't going to address the situation at the Travis Japan show in Anaheim on Twitter because I am just one person and I can't speak on the entire situation, but it has been brought to my attention that there are outright lies and misinformation being spread about my friends that are being shared within the community. I've also been receiving messages from friends who are worried about me regarding the situation, so I thought I should address it. It's been several days since the show, and I feel I've been able to look back on the situation more objectively with a clearer mindset. I believe I would've been running on emotions if I had tweeted about it earlier, which could have clouded my judgment. A few days prior to and the day before the show, ticket holders received an email from the venue stating that the official line will start at 4pm. They stressed that lining up before 4pm is prohibited. On the day of the show, we arrived at the venue in the afternoon and saw that there was a long line outside of the venue property. We asked the head of security whether this line was official and he repeatedly said, "Anything that is happening outside of our property is not official, so just come at 4." Following the security's instructions, we arrived at the venue at 4pm via car. The parking lot was positioned a lot closer to the venue entrance than the than the unofficial line that was being formed outside the property. That line and the people from the parking lot were heading to line up from opposite directions, so it naturally turned into a merge, which the people from the line formed outside of the property called us out for cutting. However, that line was still moving, which even the security I previously spoke said it's all fair game until people reach the established official line. From what I heard from one of my friends who was part of the line outside the property venue, the line was formed the night before the event by a group of fans who, I've seen and experienced from prior Travis Japan events, often creates lines before events, coins them as official, and pressures other fans to join their lines. I want to clarify that this is just one group of the unofficial line. In fact, I’d like to believe that many fans felt pressured to join the early line out of fear they’d miss out on good spots. If it actually was an official line, the event organizers should have communicated that with everyone, otherwise, it's not fair to those who naturally assume the official line starts at 4pm and arrive accordingly. Chaos ensued thereafter and a plethora of things happened. There are rumors that we caused violence (e.g. hitting/kicking), which I'd like to stress never happened. There was one moment, where security was trying to merge us, but due to all the commotion, pushing occurred. To summarize, this is just my side of the story, and you're open to believing whatever you want to believe. I think this situation is more complex than people make it out to seem, and I don't think one single thing or party is to blame. My personal take is, if the event organizers are going to explicitly state that there is no lining up before 4pm, it should be enforced, but I don't think this would even be an issue in the first place if we all just follow the rules. Lastly and most importantly, please don't share misinformation about the situation (violence is a serious allegation that I can't believe is being falsely spread), especially if you were not present at the event. With that being said, this is the internet, it may be hard to detect the credibility of things you see, but I'll leave that up to the readers. I just wanted to mention a few things to people who always line up days before international Travis Japan events. I'm not sure how normal it is to line up so early before an event in Japan, but doing so involves serious risks. Not only will you be prone to heat strokes, but cities in America are so much more dangerous than you might think. If something serious actually happens, it'll have risks, which could result in the show canceled for everyone. I wish that all future events will be reserved seating to prevent issues like this, but one can only hope.

@hana_traja Hii!! you totally deserve to be up front!! I was at the front too but I understand how you feel… although I speak Japanese, as a local US fan as well, I wondered the other US fans thought and I honestly think it’s a genuine and important issue that should be brought up ☺️💞

I’ve been kind of quiet with the regarding the issues from the Travis Japan concert because I’m low key traumatized by the harassment I received from some badly behaved fans in NY. I’m kinda giving up getting good seats from now on because I don’t want to face that again.

@incorrect_NEWS hopefully this is something they look into, especially if they’re wanting to actually promote in the states…. it’s not that they can’t speak English, but I feel like they just gave up because of the audience… I wished they would ignore that part and kept on speaking English

@memily810 The way the agency could absolutely afford to hire a translator for these shows and yet LMAO 🫠 I’m used to not being able to understand things, I’ve accepted this but I think it’s natural to have translators in the country they’re performing in 🥹
