BREAKING NEWS! 16 jet tempur KAI KF-21 "Boramae" akan dibeli Indonesia, dengan kemungkinan penandatanganan kontrak akan dilakukan saat Presiden Prabowo melakukan kunjungan kenegaraan ke Korea Selatan dalam waktu dekat. Menurut informasi yang kami ketahui, KF-21 yang akan Indonesia terima adalah varian Block 2 dengan karakteristik multirole, MRCA. Nantinya KF-21 memiliki "commonality" persenjataan dengan Dassault Rafale F4 kita, misalnya seperti MBDA Meteor beyond visual range air-to-air missile (BVRAAM), dan mungkin dengan AIM-120 AMRAAM di F-16. Semoga pesanan 16 unit ini akan ditingkatkan menjadi minimal 4 skadron tempur baru, mempersiapkan jika nantinya kita akan mengambil varian 5th generation stealth, KF-21 Block 3.

There's currently a massive online war raging in South Korea against Indonesians in particular, and against ASEAN countries in general, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The conflict began after Koreans broke the law at a party in Malaysia, and it has escalated dramatically in the last two days.
In the tweet in question, a Korean posted a picture of monkeys and claimed it was an Indonesian family.
The bullying has reached incredibly vile levels, with Koreans using unimaginable vulgar language and engaging in unspeakable bullying.
Indonesians, however, have not remained silent.
The original story began after repeated complaints about the perceived arrogance of Koreans at parties in Indonesia. Koreans travel to Indonesia, attend parties, break the law, and look down on Indonesians, which finally pushed Indonesians to their breaking point and sparked the conflict.
The dispute is so significant that it has made headlines in both countries, but so far, there has been no official diplomatic intervention between the governments.

Sejak Maret 2024, kendali ruang udara atau Flight Information Region (FIR) di atas wilayah Kepulauan Riau (Kepri) dan Natuna sudah resmi dialihkan dari Singapura ke Indonesia. Setelah melalui negosiasi selama puluhan tahun, akhirnya kesepakatan penyesuaian ruang udara (FIR Realignment) yang ditandatangani tahun 2022 resmi diberlakukan pada 21 Maret 2024.
Ruang udara seluas kurang lebih 249.285 km^2 yang sebelumnya masuk dalam FIR Singapura, kini resmi masuk ke dalam FIR Jakarta. Dengan ini mengakhiri status di mana pesawat Indonesia yang terbang di wilayah kedaulatan sendiri (seperti dari Tanjungpinang ke Natuna) harus meminta izin ke otoritas penerbangan Singapura. ICAO (Organisasi Penerbangan Sipil Internasional) sendiri udah menyetujui perubahan ini, yang berarti secara hukum internasional, batas udara kita sudah sesuai dengan batas wilayah laut dan darat.

Couldn't said it better, enablers like AEW&C and force multipliers such as MRTT and SOJ/EW should come first. Decision maker obsessing over not being “left behind” in the 5th gen fighter race is misplaced when fundamental capability gaps still exist.

I have mixed views with Indonesia’s pursuit for 5th gen fighters. I personally think Indonesia has no urgency to procure 5th gen fighters at the moment, and should instead focus on building a fleet of 4,5th gen fighters supported by a robust network of enablers and GBAD.
