let me break something down. Peddi is a film with a HUGE potential for a LONG RUN…but that long run will be killed because of its opening weekend. People have to understand, in order to secure screens for Week 2, Week 1 needs to have great occupancy. If everyone waits for Week 2 for passes or prices to lower down, there won’t be any shows to even go to. Especially the weekend Peddi releases there is Masters of the Universe and Scary Movie 5 releasing. The weekend after Disclosure Day is releasing, and the week after that Toy Story 5. With so many big movies releasing along side it, it’ll be impossible for Peddi to secure those screens the following week. If Peddi wants to have a long run, it NEEDS to have cheaper tickets and passes enabled from the start to showcase high occupancy and demand for the film. Durandhar 2 and Project Hail Mary both released during the same weekend and two weeks after Mario Galaxy released, yet Durandhar was playing even after that up until Michael. Over a month and half of a run for the film here in theaters purely because it CONSTANTLY maintained that occupancy from DAY 1. If you guys only care about your bullshit inflated premiere record then fine, but if you want your film to have screens beyond the first weekend and have a successful long run, then decrease ticket price and enable passes to have high occupancy FROM DAY 1.
