I'm going to be honest, this event barely registered in the constant noise and churn on the front end.
We like TS & JS fine as languages, and we use them heavily to build the @anvil_works editor and Python front-end toolkit. The ecosystem and ergonomics around them, however...🤬

I want to know @meredydd’s opinion on the whole typescript/JavaScript drama. He’s the founder of anvil.works and one of the core things that made me into an anvil diehard is that it lets you forget about all the weird quirks of JavaScript and just build your apps.

The problem with text-based code is that it's not read linearly, but like a choose-your-own-adventure where things are out of order & there's a new journey on almost every line.
You end up keeping a map of everything in your head.
Is text-based code the best we can do? 📚
