@Mr_Rablin @tricia_fried @ShiftingSchools I agree and would add that the opposite can happen. Sometimes our competitive nature will come out (mine really wanted to) and we will do whatever it takes to win. While it is good to have drive, when it is "win at all cost", the learning and purpose can be lost too.

Because @tricia_fried brought it up during our @ShiftingSchools March Madness conversation... The instant I saw my "points possible" dropping in the bracket challenge, I immediately lost my motivation to stay invested. Isn't that what we do to kids with our grading sometimes?

@mergeEDnTech Absolutely, as long as you don’t mind using some Friday evening time to do so.

Alright, Twitter friends, I need some help. Some of the feedback from my sessions today identified a need for more diverse content in my examples. They're absolutely right. Do I have any non-ELA friends have an example of a progression of learning like in the linked example?

I have an #NCCE21 session tomorrow on ownership that dives into unpacking standards and building learning progressions. If anyone has non-ELA examples of this, I would be extremely grateful. I want to make sure I'm meeting the needs of as many people as I can.
