Ever since my channel was banned, I haven't dared to upload any videos. This incident has vindicated my judgment: YouTube has banned channels featuring authentic, original footage. This constitutes an act of bullying—a complete disregard for the hard effort others have invested

YouTube stole $6,000 from me without giving me any chance for human review even though my channel was educational

@hormeze @shaggysurvives @arabelladevine perfect, I’ve been doing the same — I didn’t want to deal with an unwieldy tripod on hikes.
Recently I was out trying to get photos of native bees. In windy conditions. As they’re flying everywhere. I think for my own peace, it’s better if I stick with beetles lmfao

English

@merizabyte @shaggysurvives @arabelladevine Oh I never use a tripod, except one made of my arms and/or sling!
My rec would be to use auto for moving bugs and manual if they're relatively still

COPIAPOA mentioned (my favorite cacti genus) in my feed? yeah, the algorithm is definitely effective
shaggy@shaggysurvives
i just found out spines on cacti, aside from deterring herbavores, can also help collect water! the spines on the plant below (Copiapoa) have some sort of microstructure that i dont understand (yet) which directs condensation from fog from the tip of the spine to the base

@hormeze @shaggysurvives @arabelladevine Right?! It feels like I suddenly advanced 15 years. I have discovered that the autofocus is finicky sometimes, so I’ve been switching between auto and manual. There is definitely a learning curve though, so maybe I’m the problem.
Do you do handheld or do you use a tripod?
English

@merizabyte @shaggysurvives @arabelladevine Oh damn that's a good macro lens, and u can use autofocus! I've literally never taken an autofocus macro shot and I've been doing this for many years, u r in the future

@hormeze @shaggysurvives @arabelladevine Canon RF 100mm f/2.8 L on a R6 MK II — I’ve wanted this lens for years(!!), and I just got it two weeks ago. (Holy upgrade from my 85mm on an old 6D.)
All I now need is a speedlite, flash diffuser, and time to return to every flower I have seen to retake all my photos 😂
English

@shaggysurvives @hormeze @arabelladevine oh my god, thank you so much, I am following them immediately. I was literally out wandering taking bug photos last weekend because I upgraded my macro lens

English

@merizabyte if you dont already follow @hormeze and @arabelladevine i would recommend them, excellent photographers. hormeze especially posts a lot of cool plant and bug stuff
