gwen totally deserved a villain arc (where she wasn't enchanted) or at least display bad traits etc because she went through so much, and had so much taken from her, yet ofc fandom wouldn't give her the grace to do that, she would be grilled tf

even her 'flaws' as just her being human yet are seen as a been all and end all to her being disliked. meanwhile you have white characters who do 10x worse things but are praised, stanned and even compared to gwen as being better. the double standards are insane

it's really ironic with gwen pendragon because for people shes either 'too nice to be likeable' or when she had a villainous arc (like being enchanted) shes viewed as an awful character and is given as a reason to dislike/hate her

The way you guys engage with BIPOC characters in media is interesting. It’s like you only want them to play the good guys all the time when that doesn’t reflect reality. people of color can be villains, they can be cheaters. They can be bad people and that’s OK.
