As far as I am concerned, Iceland is Scandinavian. Greenland is Scandinavian. Faroes are Scandinavian. Heck, maybe even Shetland is a little Scandinavian. Parts of Estonia are Scandinavian.

And, surprise-surprise, the Estonian hani 'goose' does NOT come from that side of the world. Even though one might think so. It is in fact a Baltic loan.

The Dutch word for goose has stayed the same for over two thousand years. The Proto-Germanic form even began with the same throaty noise.
