When I was 6 years old, Israel dropped bombs disguised as toys on us in Lebanon. New report reveals that Israel left behind bombs disguised as toys in Gaza. Today, a cluster bomb shaped like a small football found in South Lebanon. But keep talking about Israel not targeting children.

Shocked to hear you didn’t observe this at rush hour on a Tuesday morning in *insert European city*

FIFA World Rankings - Italy #12 - Denmark #20 - Nigeria #26 - Poland #35 All of these teams didn’t qualify. There are 48 teams in the World Cup Having the best teams in the biggest tournament makes sense. The qualifying process is dumb

Yes, it matters. Because the world gets to see the unique English football ecosystem played out in the towns and clubs that have fucking propped this sport up for 150 years. That's why it matters. A visible display of the oldest football heritage anywhere. You'd think that would matter.

@JackDunc1 Cool pronouns. The last euros had hydration breaks but by all means this is Americas fault

They are doing these inside air-conditioned stadiums at night. Stop calling them 'hydration breaks', they are designed for adverts and corporations. It's the yankification of the sport. I'm so glad neither the BBC or ITV indulge in them.
AFP News Agency@AFP

Hydration breaks last just a total of six minutes during a match, but they stand accused of fundamentally changing the nature of football at the sport's ultimate showpiece.⚽ u.afp.com/Szfo

@JackDunc1 Increasingly feeling like this World Cup is a watershed moment and we will look back on it as being the most detrimental event to the sport in its history. The toothpaste never goes back in the tube. BBC and ITV will be powerless to what they’ve unleashed.

Sorry, will be complaining about the kick off times. They don’t suck because they’re late at night. They suck because FIFA and the yanks have done some absolutely bizarre scheduling.

@Asensiazo As would be true if any major European top 5 league nation hosted it. If this is an attempt to own the Europeans, it’s a flop.

The fact that the US didn't have to panic-build stadiums and other facilities for the world cup because the amenities are just there, and have always been there, still baffles me. No country comes close ngl.

@LiamTharmeCoach Well no, but if we say “let’s do some tactical analysis in this 3 minute break” we’ve conceded something to the idea of quarters. We shouldn’t do that, is the point I’m making. Just because it’s a better use than ads, doesn’t mean I want it to stick around.

BBC letting Emma Hayes talk tactics with a blackboard and then overlaying video (with telestrations) is a phenomenal use of expertise and analysis. Absolutely love it - and kudos to the analyst for clipping that and annotating so quickly
