My conspiracy theory about DMK strategy here is - they want TVK to form the govt. So if there's a floor test, DMK will be absent and get TVK to form a minority govt even with just 107 MLAs. Then, after 6 months to 1 year, they will make this TVK govt fall bringing in no confidence. And call for re-elections. By then, due to law & order issues created, TVK would lose some popularity and DMK will win back power :)

If this "unholy" DMK-ADMK alliance actually happens, expect five years of total chaos and hell in TN. Why this is a disaster for us: These two parties have hated each other for 50 years. Imagine them trying to run a government together. Every day will be a new ego clash. Nothing will get done. Instead of one party, we will have two groups trying to fill their pockets with corruption. They will just point fingers at each other while the state's money is drained. Tamil Nadu is a leader in India. But this "mixed" government will bring instability. Businesses will leave, and our progress will stop. We will become a "failed state" like Bihar. A DMK-AIADMK alliance is essentially a "Middle Finger" to the voters. It says: "We don't care who you voted for; we will stay in power by any means.

Let me state these clearly. I believe the @TVKVijayHQ won a clear mandate and should form the government. Anything else is against the will of the people. If the arithmetic in the assembly does not work, instead of endless horse trading, fresh polls are the best and I believe TVK will win a super majority. So it is in the interest of other parties to avoid fresh polls because they are likely to lose seats to TVK. I don't say all these as a TVK supporter. I say these as someone who loves Tamil Nadu and Bharat. My personal political preferences are irrelevant here. I remain a strong proud nationalist. It is the strength of our nation that a new party won so much support. I hope a good solution is found soon and TVK forms the government, as that is the will of the people🙏

So many sources and news. Definitely it would contain unverified rumours too. There are even reports that say ADMK is likely to split and a group may support Vijay. Some say DMK has decided to sit in opposition and they are not part of this drama. As I said, in next few days, we'll get clarity as to who stands where. Vijay's political debut starts with a big challenge.

@sandhyaravishan Vijay has nothing to loose here.. all these cheap move from EPS/admk is making vijay more famous..he understood his vote benchmark and he has clear direction on where to focus.. if admk try to push for re election that's officially their end.. no one wants to see EPS face as CM..

I don't believe TN will go to polls again. No party will want to, having seen the impact of Vijay. Second, they would be reluctant to spend again. ADMK stands to gain from this situation. They will ally either with TVK or get outside support from DMK and form govt. Either way there will be a govt formed in the next few days.

The exit of @INCIndia from its long standing alliance with theDMK will be a significant moment in the political scenario of the State. The Congress may be betting on the TVK as a long term partner option but that comes with risks, as the TVK is as yet an unknown quantity. For the DMK, if the TVK+Congress becomes the choice of the minorities as it well could, it is an existential threat. It was the minority vote that gave the DMK alliance a 12%-15% cushion in the polls. If that goes, their chances of winning drops dramatically. For the AIADMK too, there is an existential crisis. EPS is now a leader who is unable to attract young voters(or even enough older voters), its IT wing, such an important factor for both the TVK and DMK, is non existent, their western bastion invincibility has been shattered and there does not appear to be another leader who can galvanize the party. Both the Dravidian majors face a full blown crisis whether they admit it or not.
