The meme was even linked to Nietzsche ideas about Übermensch. On January 16 2026 the token was deployed by a dev linked to BastilleBTC. On January 17 first calls appeared on TG and X. Deployer disappeared and the token was considered abandoned. Then a user named Nietzscheanpeng stepped in. His account was most likely later banned via mass reports. He decided to revive the meme on his own. For almost 48 hours straight he raided posted pushed $PENGUIN while also working a full time factory job. He contacted @Pumpfun and got confirmation that a CTO could be approved. For a long time price barely moved. When the meme finally caught traction volume came in and the chart woke up. $PENGUIN started to move. Exactly at that moment PumpFun stopped responding to Nietzscheanpeng. Later the CTO was rejected with the explanation that another team had already taken over the project. Almost immediately an official team appeared that · took the narrative · claimed ownership · started running the project Later Dosuka together with the community x.com/DosukaSOL/stat… accused them of letting Nietzscheanpeng do all the dirty work and stepping in only after the token was alive again. After that Nietzscheanpeng publicly said he is leaving the CTO, Solana and crypto entirely. Onchain users noticed an important detail · the wallet of the new CTO is linked to the original deployer. · One cluster. One source of funds. Community conclusion is simple. The token was allowed to revive and control was taken back exactly when price started going up. Extra attention came from a viral White House tweet with an AI penguin + a tweet x.com/pmarca/status/… from the A16Z founder who updated his profile banner and additional hype from Binance Alpha picking a meme from the SOL ecosystem. But the core issue remains · there is no trust in the devs · CTO looks broken Is $PENGUIN the first big meme of 2026 or just another story where control matters more than community?
