@KaikiWexler I like him too! I never thought his relationship with Shannon was weird, but I also didn’t know Shannon’s age either… This story is from like 20 years ago though, the author probably just didn’t think about it much

@methylphenidaet A lot of people dislike the power dynamic he has over Shannon in their relationship. He also says some of the same things you'd see red pillers saying online. I liked him personally 🤷‍♂️

I just think that the characters shined much more than the actual story this time. However, I DIED when I saw the art of Battler holding Beatrice after he jumped out the window. Solid episode. It convinced me to get my one winged eagle crest tattoo.

I think overall that Erika was my favorite part. I simply loved hating her. What a great villain. My second favorite part was Dlanor. What a badass furniture. I also loved learning about the Knox commandments. It was so interesting. +

Episode 5 thoughts: I was having a lot of fun with this episode the whole way through, but looking back, the first half was <good> and then as soon as everybody is in the cathedral, my love for the episode increased. I imagined that this is how Ace Attorney fans must feel like. +

@i_smoke_air @Nightshade7778 I think so too. Also, I was in shock after finishing Episode 1. I had never read mystery before and I had never seen anything even remotely similar to it. It was the perfect introduction and still stands on its own no matter the other episodes.

Episode 1 of Umineko is so perfect and I will always defend it. Not only is it the perfect setup that only elevates the rest of the episodes, the foreshadowing, the symbolism is amazing. Ep1 vibe is also just unmatched and not seen again in any other episode. It's peak.
