when people tell me they have never taken public transportation in LA bc they are freaked to ride it I am like okay why are you afraid of the metro? I take the metro and a dude with a face tattoo literally moved out of the way and did a lil flirty bow to let me off the train

@kennethmejiaLA Generally we love your work and posts! And letting people know about speed cameras isn't a bad thing. But "know where they are" generally implies the opposite of "drive safe." People die because of speeding :/

@MayorOfLA Have you ever thought about planting trees and building parks so we don’t need cooling centers? We have so much asphalt and parking lots making the city hot as hell

As a former nurse and a physician assistant, I know firsthand that this heat is something to be treated extremely seriously, and I’m making sure the City is preparing accordingly. Hundreds of City facilities, including libraries and recreation centers, are available for Angelenos who need to stay cool. Do not hesitate – get indoors and into air conditioning and protect yourself.

The LA graffiti towers are a symbol of unchecked wealth inequality. They were never meant to house the unhoused people on the streets below so the people tagged them up as a reminder that solving homelessness requires more than luxury condos. I’m sorry you don’t know our city.

If every neighborhood across Los Angeles added speed cameras on high traffic roads and put in chicanes, round-abouts, and speed tables on lower volume streets—we could transform the county overnight.
