Metro Skywarn has activated a formal net on the Minneapolis Repeater upon request on the NWS for the entire Metro coverage area is under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and heavy rain in Hennipin county

We are activating on 146.700 and 147.210 as the NWS has requested spotter activation for Scott and Carver county.
