Busy & exciting week of learning @KCPS_Rogers . Our kindergartners learned about the life cycle of a butterfly, observing each stage 🐛🦋. The students then released their adult butterflies outside. @kcpublicschools #ScienceMatters

Thank you to our community partner @umcresurrection for providing the monthly Food Mobile. Our families @KCPS_Rogers & neighbors were able to get fresh produce, dairy & protein. Once again the mobile left empty. Thank you for generously sharing your resources. @kcpublicschools

@kcpolice and @QuintonLucasKC you should NOT be cancelling/removing the D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T. programs from our urban schools! 😡 These programs educate & connect our youth to their communities. These programs are well spent dollars!!!

Our 2nd graders @KCPS_Rogers had an engaging field trip to “Old Shawnee Town.” Students planted dill, did laundry with a wash board & learned about everyday life in the 1900s. Learning #BeyondTheFourWalls @kcpublicschools

Our favorite superhero? Author Dav Pilkey! Pilkey generously donated more than 16,000 copies of his latest book, "Dog Man: Big Jim Begins", to students in Title I schools participating in the “If You Give a Child a Book …” campaign. Thank you, Dav! #GiveABook

Our 5th graders @KCPS_Rogers became bird watchers & outdoor enthusiasts at The OP Arboretum. We observed different native birds all while taking in the natural surroundings. A great day of connecting learning & Mother Nature 🌎@kcpublicschools #BeyondTheFourWalls
