Female officer defeated by a super soaker and a wet sidewalk.
A female Lubbock Police Department officer and her partner responded to a citizen complaint regarding a massive, block-wide water fight blocking traffic. Upon arrival, the initial responding officer kept things incredibly calm and polite. Bodycam footage shows her walking through the crowd of dozens of residents, explicitly telling them: "I don't care that y'all are having fun, all right? You just got to clear out of the street... let traffic get by."
While some residents complied and moved to the sidewalk, others in the crowd decided to test boundaries. Jokingly, members of the crowd dared the officer to call for backup, with one man yelling to go get the "task force" because they were ready for them.
As the officer walked to the end of the block to ensure vehicles could pass, multiple individuals intentionally targeted her. She was suddenly swarmed and doused with buckets of water and blasted with super soakers. The crowd erupted in cheers as she retreated, believing they had successfully driven law enforcement away.
But the "fun" stopped immediately. The water soaked the officer's primary police radio. Another officer called for assistance, reporting that they was being swarmed by the crowd.
Within minutes, additional patrol units arrived to disperse the crowd. The officer that got soaking was taken out of commission as she needed to go change her uniform.
While many community members argued online that it was just harmless summer fun, the Lubbock Police Department and city officials stood firmly behind the response, emphasizing that blocking public roadways, destroying emergency communication equipment, and intentionally targeting an on-duty officer crosses the line into criminal behavior.
Does this video show the level of respect given to female officers or was it all in fun and she was just out of her league trying to catch the men that soaked her?

The overwhelming majority of police officers are dedicated, brave individuals who put on the badge every day to genuinely protect and serve their communities. They do the hard, often thankless work with integrity. Unfortunately, it only takes a small percentage of bad actors to tarnish that reputation and erode public trust. It’s deeply frustrating because those actions don't represent the true heart of the profession, yet they overshadow the incredible sacrifices made by the great cops who rightfully deserve our respect. We have to support the good ones while holding the bad ones accountable. Speaking of this, have some new videos coming up soon.

NEW: Father of the year abandons crying 4-year-old during foot chase while fleeing deputies On June 9, 2026, Orange County deputies tried to stop 24-year-old Jason Kenon over an active probation violation warrant. He refused to stop and led them on a reckless vehicle pursuit, striking an SUV during the chase. Kenon eventually stopped, grabbed a 4-year-old child, and ran on foot. He later abandoned the crying child while continuing to flee from deputies. Deputies quickly caught up with him and rescued the child, who was shaken but uninjured. Kenon was arrested and charged with child neglect, aggravated fleeing and eluding, and hit-and-run. He is being held without bond on the out-of-county warrant.
