There is a 0% chance that LeBron James signs with the Timberwolves. With that said… Is there a better landing spot in the entire NBA for him to chase one last title than in Minnesota?

Naz Reid is gone to Charlotte but he’s a Wolf legend forever. One of the greatest success stories in franchise history, from undrafted to 6MOY to $125 mill. He became the Wolves best bench player ever. Naz truly left his mark in Minnesota, and for that, he’ll be missed by many.

Just imagining off-ball Anthony Edwards with LaMelo, who can find him for tons of catch-&-shoot 3s. Ant shot 49.6% on those but only 2.3 attempts, think if they can get that to 5-6. Jaden backdoor cuts for slams, hit aheads in transition to inject pace, PnR lobs to Rudy and Joan.

My gut reaction: I love this for the Wolves. Losing Naz Reid hurts. It's Naz Reid. He's a cult hero in Minnesota. But LaMelo Ball is a 24-year-old All-Star PG who instantly makes the game easier for Ant and everyone around him. The floor general they badly needed. Big-time swing!

Wolves desperately need a PG but there's little out there in unrestricted FA. Coby White is likely too expensive, Collin Sexton isn't a great fit; both score first, same as Bones. Then it's replacement level or old vets like Conley. Except one tempting option: Brandon Williams!

I'm going to need a lot more coffee to process this LaMelo Ball-Naz Reid trade. Wolves get the dynamic PG they badly needed next to Edwards. The cost is one of their most beloved players ever, 1 future first, 3 first rd. swaps + 3 seconds. LaMelo-Ant is an electrifying backcourt.

@sjc6254 Suggs would be absolutely wonderful if they had real substance to trade for him. Magic aren't going to salary-dump him like Randle so it's hard to see what deal can work unless they are extremely motivated to move him.

@WorkerDrone3 It sounds like Williams is very gettable and the Wolves can offer him a nice pay raise/strong role. Of course, the concern with him is 3PT% and defense, though he's a real PG who flashed last season and has room for growth. He's their best bet IMO in the UFA market.

@MookieCheeks Guess i wouldn't mind him at that price, though he's really a scoring combo guard and they could retain Bones on a cheaper deal if they want that.

Huge night in Wolvesdom with two major moves the night before the draft. Salary dumping (or redistribution!) Julius Randle to Brooklyn and locking Ayo Dosunmu in long term with the 5-year, $112M bag. Feel like both moves were necessary this offseason.
