@jbirdfunk @realEstateTrent if you are the Importer of Record they will undervalue the goods and file a lower Customs Bill to make up the difference. If CBP finds out you will pay 3X the difference.

@realEstateTrent I am about to buy my first Chinese made Door and Window package, (thermally broken aluminum) for some units. All vendors keep telling me my DDP pricing has just changed a few thousand dollars. I haven’t pulled the trigger because I’m not sure if I’m going to get screwed.

Spoke to an executive whose company has a key manufacturing plant in China. They just shut it down, and the workers have been laid off. But they have one large shipment already in route. “We have no choice. We have to receive it, pay the tariffs, and take a loss on it”

At the Vegas Builder Show checking out new products for our custom home clients and multifamily projects. These panels are interesting pretty much LVP wall panels that can be used in tubs and showers. No grout, glue on, dura rock behind, durable, installed by carpenter. Pretty awesome!
