Why only 1% allocation? We originally were planning to allocate more to S5. But we have had a large strategy shift with @ProphecySocial_ and @dreamDEXSomnia. We wanted to save incentives for driving these products. This is the focus for us going forward.

IS SOMI MANIPULATED? A CALL TO INVESTIGATE @0xPaulThomas once said: “The market in the short term is a voting machine. In the long term it’s a weighing machine.” Which means: - Short term: price moves based on crowd hype, FOMO, memes, and shilling, not real value. A coin can pump 20-50x purely on X trend, then crash hard to zero. - Long term: the market measures the true value of the project (utility, technology, real users, adoption). Good projects rise sustainably. Paul has always positioned @Somnia_Network as a long-term project focused on sustainable growth and has clearly said no to pump-and-dump manipulation. But the actual $SOMI price action tells a completely different story. There were many days where the price suddenly pumps, only to crash right back to the entry level, or even lower right after that. For example: - Today (April 26), SOMI pumped from $0.17 to $0.25 and has already crashed back to $0.19. - Back on January 23-25, it spiked from $0.19 to $0.42 only to drop straight back to $0.15 shortly after. This isn’t because of bear market. This is obvious, repeated price manipulation. This pattern is creating growing distrust in the community. Holders feel uncertain, and it’s starting to affect the ecosystem: - dApps and users tend to sell SOMI immediately during mint events or activities, thinking it will dump anyway. - while builders are becoming hesitant to integrate because of the high volatility, no one want to wake up 50% down overnight. Who sold? I have no idea, but the whole situation feels incredibly strange and suspicious. I really hope Somnia team consider looking into this price behavior and sharing any insights or measures. Transparency like this would greatly help restore confidence for holders and support the growth of the entire @SomniaEco.

My opinion: scrap it for Season 5. If the team truly believes the chain needs this, roll it out in Season 6, ideally at the start. That would bring in new users instead of distorting the current season. And I would only buy boxes if it’s directly from the team, so the funds go back into the ecosystem, not to wallets that gamed the system. A regular user only has 8 keys, which were hardly earned through the Odyssey. The communication around keys was very confusing. I believe the team itself didn’t have a clear vision for them. Personally, I stayed out to avoid any risk of account suspension in season 5, similar to what happened with folks who gamed with ApeKing in Season 4 and the stars exploiters around the same time. I believe most Somniacs did the same. What are your thoughts?

SOMNIA LOOTBOX: I VOTED “LIMIT” AND HERE IS WHY The debate over whether to scrap or keep the @Somnia_Network Lootbox is currently the hottest topic in the Somniacs community. As always, Somnia listens to the community, and @0xPaulThomas has opened a public poll to genuinely understand what people want. I voted LIMIT, and here is my detailed analysis: A. ON POINTS 1. This is actually a great opportunity for many people to improve their positions, especially now that the main quests are winding down. 2. The claim that “Lootbox wipes out 8 months of grinding” doesn’t hold up anymore because: - The opportunity is open to everyone. No one is excluded. - Testnet is over, this is mainnet season. If you don’t want to fall behind, you have to accept investing real money. People who truly believe in Somnia and are willing to put thousands of USD into NFTs deserve to be rewarded more than those who only want to grind for free with zero skin in the game. - Just simply see Lootbox as another form of investment, exactly like the cost of completing 1000/2000 point quests or buying NFTs. Once you frame it that way, everything becomes fair and perfectly logical. 3. The clear downside: This will temporarily widen the gap in the community because the reward differentiation is quite large. Top leaderboard holders who already own hundreds of NFTs with 10k%+ boosts will naturally benefit the most. However, LIMIT itself is the solution that protects the grinders. With a hard cap (max 5-10 boxes per wallet or a maximum point limit from lootboxes), 8-month grinders still keep their solid advantage in multipliers + Odyssey XP. B. UNANNOUCED PURPOSE @fingersnapped has repeatedly hinted that the team designed the Lootbox program with several unannounced objectives. The team had a plan and they know what they're doing, so don't jump to conclusions based on incomplete information. I guess that is one of the Sybil filtering layer. → Real users will receive the SOMI they truly deserve, without competing against 200k bot accounts. C. FAIRNESS TO EXISTING BUYERS Many people have already opened boxes and received points, or bought keys but haven’t opened them yet. Though the team has confirmed they hold the data and will protect everyone’s interests, a full refund process would be messy and complicated. LIMIT is the cleanest and fairest solution: re-open the opportunity but under tight, controlled limits. D. OTHER ISSUES TO CLARIFY - The 18k keys holder case: Paul has already confirmed via on-chain tracking that the wallet is clean, it’s just one degen who strongly believed in the keys from the very beginning and accumulated aggressively. Nothing shady. - Total keys exceeding eligible users: This was an intentional Odyssey mechanic to reward later participants, not an exploit. Eligible S4 users already received extra Odyssey XP anyway. Personally, I’m not a big fan (since I couldn’t take advantage of it myself 😂), but it is as it is. - Point inflation: Thanks to LIMIT, this concern has been greatly reduced. Points will not concentrate heavily in a small group with high boosts and many keys, the distribution will be much more even. - Impact on the NFT market: Yes, some will rebalance capital between boosts and points to optimize. But that’s simply how market supply and demand works. The positive side? People who haven’t bought NFTs yet now have a chance to buy them at better prices. E. OVERALL EVALUATION Somnia Lootbox is still a solid idea that deserves to continue, but only under clear and controlled limits. One unexpected factor that heavily influenced community sentiment is timing: - The program was developed and teased for far too long, shifting the mood from excitement → boredom → frustration → “this is a joke.” - It launched at a very sensitive moment: everyone had already mentally accepted their current leaderboard position and was just waiting for the snapshot. → The sudden appearance caused shock and uncertainty about a chaotic future. That’s why the strong backlash is completely understandable. If it had launched 2–3 months earlier, the reaction would have been very different. F. CONCLUSION Somnia is building mass-consumer web3, an ecosystem that can only grow when we welcome both dedication and fresh capital. We have an initial plan for the loot box system. Just working out the details. We have also discovered that the key whale did not exploit. Just accumulated the keys before any info about them. Interested to hear folks opinions on what we should do.

@SomniaEco make 1 key for 1 chest but contains 10-50 points and open it max 8 times, or 8 keys for 1 chest containing 50-250 points and for those who open it only specifically for those who follow Odyssey to reduce farmers

Lootboxes remain a top priority for the team. We are actively reviewing key flow, reward distribution, and the feedback raised by the community so we can determine the right next steps. We know people are waiting for clarity around keys, opened boxes, and points. All of that is part of the current review.

IS SOMNIA LOOTBOX TAKING TOO LONG TO BE LAUNCHED? As we all know, 8 keys obtained from the Odyssey quest are meant to be used to open something called a Somnia Lootbox, which contains various rewards. However, there appears to have been a noticeable delay in @Somnia_Network implementation, so I’d like to put together a timeline for this lootbox to give everyone a complete overview. 2025 + 07/10 - Started minting keys for planets that have completed green missions. + 01/12 - Odyssey ended. + 15/12 - @0xPaulThomas hinted on X about Somnia Lootbox x.com/0xPaulThomas/s… + 29/12 - In Somniaverse, Paul said the lootbox system was supposed to be ready since Christmas, but because the team is on holiday it will be pushed back to the new year by a little while. Ok everyone deserved a holiday, so we can wait. 2026 @SomniaEco has continuously posted the following random hints: 24/01 - "A hidden treasure." 04/02 - "The treasure was Somnia all along." 20/02 - "The search was worth it." 21/02 - "Guess what’s inside?" 27/02 - "Patience is key." 13/03 - "The gears are turning." 26/03 - "Finally, after all that… it’s here!" 28/03 - "Soon, they’ll be used." 01/04 - "Prepare your keys." 12/04 - "Something inside is ready. Are you?" The total wait time has been 04 months with 10 hints in all. A few hints, 3 or 4 posts are fine, but when it drags on like this, even the most patient people become frustrated. Did the Somnia dev team take a four‑month Christmas holiday? I don’t think so. 👉 I understand that everything needs time to build, but spending 04 months just to implement a reward‑distribution program feels excessive. 👉This really makes me worried about the team’s execution to deliver more technically complex features in the future, such as a DEX or a prediction market. 👉 Conclusion: In the spirit of transparency, I hope Somnia team stops giving hints like this. If there’s a problem that requires a delay, just be straightforward about it.
