@KinesKing @thor_besier @rosshm16 @FranzBiomech Thanks! I do look forward to checking this out. From the abstract it looks like they saw the same thing we've seen. Ankle moment seems really resistant to increase (volitionally) but power can. 🤔. Cool approach with haptics!

Pleased to see Chris Schenck and Duncan Bakke's work in press, illustrating the potential for vibrotactile feedback to enhance plantar flexion joint moments and power: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/31479852

@PKudzia_BioMech @MATLAB This is fantastic and great timing. I've been battling real time lag plotting in Matlab for a few weeks. I'll give this a shot

if you are plotting in real-time in @MATLAB and using the 'drawnow' function to fill your axis but are experiencing lag when you increase the figure size..use 'drawnow limitrate' instead and you will likely not have lag anymore.

@Owen1Beck Thanks for posting. I'm wondering how this might be influencing joint-level mechanics. It would restrict hip extension and TLA (already poor in OA) and help during swing which I think is less costly than COM redirection. Maybe it's requiring more plantarflexor output? Thoughts?

Dr. Messing and colleagues in 1991 suggested solutions like redesigns and job rotations to improve #ergonomics for #female workers. I'm curious what changes have actually been implemented in the last ~30 years 6/6

Dr. Messing has written for the WHO, books on challenges for unseen workers, and manuscripts such as "Minimizing risks for women in non-traditional jobs" (doi.org/10.2190/NS1.4.j) outlining differences in work traditionally performed by each gender 5/n

1/n Can you tell the difference between the top and bottom walking patterns? Of course. What does this tell us about #stroke #rehabilitation? Follow along for a walkthrough (pun intended) of Purnima Padmanabhan's new work: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

His work grew from dental work to dog and even human osseointegration for prosthesis attachment. Cited thousands of times I posted a few of the more formative works in the update doi.org/10.3109/028443…
