Sources: Las Vegas public schools are mounting a serious push to pull their football programs from the NIAA, and coaches are unified in their discussions. The plan could see roughly 30 schools leave to form three new leagues, potentially crippling the NIAA financially.

@mgerber10 @702HSFB Of course not but that’s one program, Gorman is one piece of the pie. This will only widen the current gap between liberty and canyon springs or Arbor and Cheyenne.

@702HSFB Issue is most schools won’t have adequate funding so they will be setting themselves up for 5-6 schools dominating the rest of the valley much how BG does now. This will be huge for the charter schools.

@jasonkredline The best comparison would be Kansas State. They went from one of the worst college football program to a perennial top 25. I hope we can continue to progress the way K-State did.

Three straight 9+ win seasons for UNLV football is a wild turnaround for a program by the way.
UNLV was legit one of the worst 10-15 football programs in the FBS for 50 years.
UNLV football is exciting and relevant.
