Where is the College of Education going?

Passed my TExES PPR Exam with flying colors! Woop!

So long as you don’t overuse them in the classroom, they are useful. There is nothing wrong with having fun in this way every once in a while.

I think that Kahoot and other things like it are useful forms to formative assessment. As a young teacher who was in school once these things started to be used, they are fun and you always learn something from them, and it doesn’t hurt to use them every once in a while.

What a complete systemic failure.

Friendly reminder that college students with parents without an SSN still CANNOT fill out their FAFSA form. No workaround exists. An entire demographic of American citizens is currently being excluded from being able to receive financial aid.

@NSchwartzTech Yes! I was just in a classroom last week where the teacher talked about how students could do the math when it was in an equation but were struggling to do the same skill when it was in a word problem format, which is exactly why we need to focus more on literacy.

@mgpizzano It really is! I think about word problems in math - there are so many critical thinking skills students have to use for that! #emintsEdChat
