I think that Kahoot and other things like it are useful forms to formative assessment. As a young teacher who was in school once these things started to be used, they are fun and you always learn something from them, and it doesn’t hurt to use them every once in a while.

Kahoot is a form of temporary ‘engagement’ and lacks any real purpose. It requires students to have their mobile phones out and encourages apathy. Students deserve better. I said what I said.

@NSchwartzTech Yes! I was just in a classroom last week where the teacher talked about how students could do the math when it was in an equation but were struggling to do the same skill when it was in a word problem format, which is exactly why we need to focus more on literacy.
