@David46279293 @proud_r Tax the top 1% earners just 1% extra and you will have the £20billion black hole sorted.
English

@proud_r @mgwoods1 agree with both comments, change was required. get your feet under the table first, there's other options out there, wealth tax etc, We've had enough of The Tory lies.
Roy Proud@proud_r
@mgwoods1 @WStone4SN Exactly. That was really a bad decision to do this. In the past every time the Tories even hinted at touching it Labour jumped on them straight away.
English

@proud_r @WStone4SN For me it’s not about whether you agree with this policy or not, it’s about labour lying when they said pre election that they wouldn’t touch it.
We had enough lies from the tories.
English

@WStone4SN I don't totally agree with you Will on this but at least you have come forward and explained your position and decision. Pleased to hear that the 880,000 people are to be added and looked after.

In 1964, a bunch of high school students played hooky to catch a Beatles concert.
Although they failed to gain entry to the show, they had an unexpected encounter with Ringo Starr while they were in their car.
Ringo pulled up next to them and took their photograph. However, nobody believed their story when they shared this remarkable encounter with their friends.
Fifty years later, the truth was unveiled when Ringo published a book filled with his personal photographs. Their image was featured in it. In homage to this incredible memory, they recreated the shot.

@David46279293 First introduced in the Victorian era and then they were scrapped in 1987 in England as being too costly to administer. I can remember them always being 7/6d, (35.5p in todays money). I think that was a year. If you didn’t renew it a local policeman came around to find out why.
English

@OwenJones84 @PollardTom Yes and it’s going to be a mammoth job to even start to put right the cock ups. Makes you kind of wonder if they really would want to win the next election. What a mess. The crumbling schools are only an example of this crumbling society that we now find ourselves. Awful times.

Tory Britain is falling apart. Literally.

@Miker_52 @BoomRadioUK You are both right. It all changes and needs a shake up every now and then. With digital broadcasting now the BBC has missed a trick and might’ve introduced a new station but on the other hand they may be winding it all up, bit by bit. All part of the Grand Plan perhaps
English

Correct on the demise of Radio 2 Mark, but is it a generation thing? We thought the same about Radio 1 then moved to Radio 2 didn’t we. GHR has too many adverts. The best radio for our generation is @BoomRadioUK Great presenters and music from late '50's 60's '70's & '80's

@_DanielRyan Agree. Too tempting to do this though. The brilliant #HappyValley was only on Sundays and people were all talking about it and so looking forward to it. Just like the old days. They should all only be on weekly.

@proud_r @David46279293 @YesterdaysBrit1 Great Wall on Cathedral square was my first Chinese restaurant😋

English

@David46279293 @mgwoods1 @YesterdaysBrit1 is worth following. Got some great old photos. The very first time I went to a Chinese restaurant was in Peterborough in about 1970/71 in a front room of an old terrace house near St Mary’s flats. Only 4 tables. A 3 course meal was 50p

Shadia Edwards-Dashti@ShadiaED
“He’s got more front than Sainsbury’s!” Mick Lynch @RMTunion on Jacob Rees-Mogg’s appearance at the #ToriesOut conference He told me “The Tories don’t use the services we do. They are immune & isolated to what we go through. We must throw them out”
