Wednesday's horse racing thread 🧵 Chester 1.30 Wait Geordie 6/4 NAP Chester 2.05 Snow Master 2/1 Chester 3.40 Alaminos 11/4 Kelso 4.00 Thorneylands 5/2 Chester 4.45 Huscal 12/1 each way Fontwell 6.12 La Cadalora 15/8 Kempton 6.30 Blues And Royals 13/8 NEXT BEST I liked WAIT GEORDIE anyway but I've been hearing good things this morning so hopefully he gets us off to a great start at Chester. He only had to be nudged out to win on debut and should improve plenty. I like the horse he beat and armed with an attacking draw looks the one to side with again. It could be a good day for Oisin Murphy as SNOW MASTER looks to have a great chance in the second race on the card. He has only had four starts and was highly tried when last seen so should appreciate these calmer waters and has a fair bit more to come now. I know ALAMINOS has drifted slightly but I'm still confident of a big run. The yard won this 12 months ago and this Pinatubo colt just bumped into one on return at Pontefract. Another couple of strides and he would have won so sharper now there should be no excuses here. Now sent handicapping THORNEYLANDS could come good. He was pulled up at Carlisle and then ran a bit flat again at this track last month but his opening mark looks lenient and he is definitely capable of better. This is winnable and he should go close. Dance In The Storm does look the one to beat but HUSCAL can't be ignored at a nice each way price for Charlie Hills. He clearly needed the run on return at Newmarket and is definitely better than that. If he bounces back to something like his best he could run much better than his price suggests. Flash Man is promising but so is LA CADALORA and if she improves on that Wincanton romp she could have a great chance to follow up against these. Her Flat form was decent and she is bred to keep improving with age and experience. I was impressed with BLUES AND ROYALS over track and trip on return. He was much the best that day and the form has been boosted since. He bumped into Suddenly I See at Musselburgh and I know that rival has let the form down since but I don't think he gave his running last time so I wouldn't put it down too much. He has more to come and back at this venue is worth keeping on side.

Not sure I remember a game we have controlled more than this one, completely dominating However we all know 0-1 is fragile I can’t help but feel there is joy if we are more decisive and direct towards Hearts Goal, stop slowing it down in the final third

Monday's horse racing thread 🧵 Beverley 1.57 Concert Pitch 9/4 Bath 2.15 Jolly Good Fellows 2/1 Kempton 2.35 Thunder Call 1/1 NEXT BEST Kempton 3.45 Espanita 9/4 Bath 4.00 Takincareofbizness 10/11 NAP Kempton 4.55 Star Time 12/1 each way Beverley 5.25 Suddenly I See 9/4 This looks a great chance for CONCERT PITCH to get off the mark. He was beaten less than five lengths on debut finishing third over C&D last month and with natural improvement should have a great chance to get his head in front now. I thought JOLLY GOOD FELLOWS ran well on debut behind Thames Waterman. She was then beaten just half a length at Pontefract and wouldn't need much more to open her account here. This lacks strength in depth and I'm expecting her to go off favourite. I've heard good things about THUNDER CALL and he looks the one to side with here. He obviously ran no race on debut but sent off 16/1 they probably thought he needed it. He was much better when second at Doncaster and given time since he can come good now in a winnable maiden. I'm not giving up on ESPANITA even though she blew out last time. She is a lot better than that and back at this track can resume her progress. She is a good looking filly who should be better than a mark of just 70 so with Cieren Fallon up I'm keen to keep her on side for now. It is rare I head to Bath for a NAP but TAKINCAREOFBIZNESS looks a standout and should get the job done for an in-form yard. This son of Bungle Inthejungle has tons of speed and caught the eye finishing fourth behind the progressive Staniel Cay and then missed just a neck at Yarmouth. He is knocking on the door and is hard to oppose here. I can't believe STAR TIME is such a big price here. This isn't a great race and this son of Time Test is still unexposed after just seven career starts. I thought that was a good run when runner-up at Wolverhampton and is fit and ready to roll back from a lengthy absence could surprise a few here. I was with SUDDENLY I SEE at Musselburgh last month and I'm not about to abandon him now. He arrives on a hat-trick and has a progressive look to his form. If he comes forward again which is definitely possible given that was his first run for 211 days then he will be tough to beat. This slight drop back in trip also looks a positive and he has plenty going for him again.
