Is there anything Trump could do to lose Republicans' support. Anything? He literally mocks Veterans & says he would encourage Russia to attack NATO countries. I was a Republican for 22 yrs. 22 years! And this is what yall want for president? What the fuck is wrong w/ the GOP?

Belgian neutrality didn’t make sense : because of the Maginot line, any German offensive was doomed to pass through Belgium. Its only result was to open to the enemy the Northern French border.
Second World War tweets from 1941@RealTimeWWII

Belgian government has decided not to allow British & French troops to be stationed in the country, despite fear of an imminent German attack- Belgians hope not to provoke the Reich by breaching their neutrality.

@CapHornier_ @GerardAraud Clearly. The statement being refuted was that no fortifications were made. On the operational execution of territorial defense and policy choices of all nations many observations can be made in hindsight.

@michael_ils @GerardAraud From then, belgium broke all the military staff links with France. The Dyle manœuvre was stupid. The Maginot line until the Channel would have been more useful

@GerardAraud More over, they didn t create the promised defenslve line. Which doomed the Dyle manoeuver before it started

#MSGU Un incendie est en cours dans la vallée de la gravona, route de Carbuccia. D’importants moyens terrestres et aériens engagés. Évitez le secteur et facilitez l’intervention des secours. @Prefet2A @IsulaCorsica

@GerardAraud At least the EU is able to set common standards and business environment. In the meantime exporters on the continent are still waiting for the UKCA (CE replacement) to come out.

Why do you care? You have left, you are conquering the world, you are Global Britain. Let us manage our affairs as we want. A hint : a common market means common rules. And if you want to export to our market, you’ll adopt our rules.
Catherine McBride OBE@CeeMacBee

Why not let customers decide what they like, and let them buy it, or not. This story encapsulates everything that is wrong with the EU. How many hours have they wasted on this? telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202…

15/ Every time I read this book, I am a little older and have acquired new and different experiences. This means I am reading the book through slightly different eyes. I learn something, and ponder things anew, with each reading of Old Man’s War. End.

I have just begun my annual re-read of John @Scalzi’s superb novel of future war, “Old Man’s War”. It is one of the few books that I re-read frequently (another is Clausewitz’s “On War”). I thought I would explain why in a thread that started short, but grew as I wrote. 1/15 🧵

@MichaelShurkin To be effective these days, if it’s really about fighting tyranny people should be free to buy Abrahams, F35, Stingers, Javelins, etc.

Good grief. No, it is not what they had in mind. And yes, they are radically different. Kinda hard to massacre school kids with a 1791 musket, unless I guess you use it as a club. But then you've got to catch them.
