Lost in a Snowstorm - We are Friends – Charles Marion Russell, 1888, Oil on Canvas No horizon separates us From town, camp, borough or polis Only what we bring to the cold A light connection to the world Blown white by dusting waves of snow Hiding hooves on worn horses below Humility draws one to the other And the natural colors, gestures on offer Blur the rote lines of enmity Drawn in times without necessity That harbor with warmth our distrust No such things now to discuss #charlesmrussell #americanartist #poetry #theamoncarter

@Its_a_PP_Goal @NYRLouie The reporter did the upfront work: 20 interviews with league insiders, and 19 panned Chayka. The important part of the exchange is less about the exec’s answer — which one would expect to be boilerplate — and more that the question was asked directly and is on the record.

@NYRLouie The closest to someone doing this on the current beat would be Vince but it would be way more passive aggressive with him just throwing more and more facts at Drury the more he denies or doesn’t answer his question🤣

@NYRLouie None of the Rangers beat writers would dare be that blunt in a public setting — even about a move as questionable as hiring Chayka. Most enjoy promoting (and being on the fringe of) the celebrity culture that surrounds the team, which is a huge part of the problem.

@Cuylle50 Why so many game 7s? It was systemic. By playing deep in the crease and refusing to learn how to play the puck, Lundqvist created a "black hole" that forced his skaters into endless shot-blocking & board battles. His style invited the attrition that made Game 7s seem inevitable.

@SciGuySpace “…launch companies can put these stages into ‘disposal’ orbits around the Sun and in a path that will avoid hitting Earth or the Moon in perpetuity. For the safety of future operations on the Moon, this probably should become standard operating procedure.” 👍🏼

Much has changed on this platform in 4 years. A far cry from the Twitter Files, now AI is both curator and content generator. The space feels twisted, incentivized and recursive — a mocking simulation of reality rather than the public square promised / hoped for. #MyXAnniversary

Rangers Scoreboard Blanket 2: Electric Boogaloo... because last year wasn't bad enough! 😂 Doing a chevron pattern this time around, though, to change it up!

At a time when #NYR fans deserve answers, GM Chris Drury isn’t providing many. My latest examines why transparency should matter, particularly when the team is losing, and how the lack of it could further diminish public confidence that’s already shaken👇🏼 nytimes.com/athletic/72096…

@NASAArtemis This inverted reprise of Earthrise lands differently—Earthset is sobering in both imagery and metaphor.

Earthset. The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.

Pictured: Orion – 30,000 miles above Earth on the Artemis II mission – separating from the rocket's upper stage. Anduril now has over 400 telescopes around the globe. Advanced space sensing software provides real-time focal plane processing to identify & track objects. Think Sentry Tower software, but for space.

@MollieeWalkerr Congratulations to the Millers. In a season full of lows, their donation and involvement with the Garden of Dreams is among the few good notes from the Rangers in 2025-26.

#NYR captain J.T. Miller on winning the Rod Gilbert "Mr. Ranger" award: "It's an honor. I feel proud, but feel a lot of pride for that Mr. Gilbert was an unbelievable Ranger and wore the crest as well as anybody. I know what he means to the city and the organization and the Rangers, so to be able to go down there and be a part of that. It meant a lot to my wife, Natalie, and I. This is something we're just getting started with, and it's been awesome so far being back being a Ranger. It means the world to me."

The fueling process for the Artemis II rocket has picked up speed. The rocket is now more quickly filling with liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen. When the core stage is completely full, it will contain 196,000 gallons of liquid oxygen and 537,000 gallons of liquid hydrogen.
