@GlenoraAg I know exactly how much they cost… and when I went there to get one they said you should not be breaking that…. But we do have 6 in stock…!! We break at least one a year, we are better at welding them up now once we got the bill…

@AgLeaderTech this photo shows that implement behind tractor is still turning the corner but in fact it’s straight behind the tractor. Configuration is tractor, seeder cart, seeder bar but we are unable to set up with multiple pivot points.Any solutions to this problem yet? Thanks

@Tomcurnow10 @rileycurnow Good stuff mate, how did the pipe unrolling machine work?
English

Started laying some pipe in the ground today. A few learning curves along the way, I’m sure some more to come still too. @rileycurnow inclusion plate build seems to be working well with funnelling the gravel and softer layer.

English

@Tomcurnow10 @CodyJHar Yeah we dealing with 100m rolls too, lots of joining. Good luck

@michael_minhard @CodyJHar Yeah sure does. So it basically clears the top of the boom on the Telehandler so that it can spin freely. Our pipe is only 100-200m lengths so that overly big, hence it being quite small compared to the soil max made carts
English

@Tomcurnow10 @CodyJHar Awesome, looks good. Guessing the circular platform is up high so the larger ring will clear the frame/hook up point..? Look forward to seeing the final product…, I better get my welder out I think…

@michael_minhard @CodyJHar @michael_minhard this is a roughie. Still a bigger ring ( 2600mm OD) to fit to the circle and an upright beam in image but almost finished. Designed so tilt on the Telehandler can pick roles up

@Wamballup Pipes about 600-650mm deep. 18 meters apart with no sock or rock/aggregate. First try, will see how it pans out over the next few years

@michael_minhard Hi Michael how far apart and deep are your drains .Did you use sock or stone

Bit of an update on tile drained paddock… Photo explains results so far. Right hand wheat paddock had the tile drains installed. Wheat on left didnt… #tiledrain #farmdrainage

English

@R_BAgriculture We have an open outflow tench we dug with excavator that runs to a salt lake. We are lucky to have that close by as a place for a water to run to.
English

@michael_minhard Looks great Michael, how do you manage the water that runs from the drains?
English

@phil_honey @gsandral Yea have been following a bit of your work, looks very interesting. We have put about 11km of pipe in on this project so far in runs of about 500 meters each pipe. Keep up the good work, will have to get in touch for a discussion sometime soon.
English

@michael_minhard @gsandral That’s pretty cool Michael, what km length of pipe did it work out to for that area in your case?
We’re into our 3rd year for our GRDC Subsurface ROI project over here and it’s very promising!

Nice work Michael and a great result. Would you have some approximate costs, income and returns on the comparison?

@CodyJHar Target depth on install was about 600mm. We have had approx 220mm since it was laid, had had about 115mm before we seen any water start to flow out of pipes.
English

@michael_minhard Love to see it! What was your target depth during installation? How much rainfall have you guys had since installing?
English

@LiddellClaying At 18 meters at this stage. From research this may not be close enough in heavy clay soils. Prepared I may have to go closer in future. Still very much learning as we go

@michael_minhard What spacings did you go with the pipe? Looks like it’s draining down well!
English

@niels_corfield No not specifically. Large open outflow trench on lower side of paddock approx 2m deep that pipes drain to does allow a bit of surface water to drain into in spots.
English

@michael_minhard Any other interventions aside from tiling?
English

@Nick67126028 Happy to have a chat and discuss if you would like to send me a private massage and go from there

@michael_minhard Hey mate, I would love to talk to you about this if I could? Thinking it has to be done on some of my country
English

@ScottYoung6311 Pretty much full grid, 18meter spacing running parallel to open outflow trench across paddock. Taking into account very flat paddock with main elevation change in billabongs. Elevations maps were taking into account on drainage plan
South Australia, Australia 🇦🇺 English

@michael_minhard Pattern tile or following the drainage lines?
