@magneticnorth @joelmartinez @Graphviz Very interesting points to consider, also for @GraphPolaris where interactive graph exploration is the central aspect
English

@joelmartinez @Graphviz Its longevity and popularity surprised us, too. Why? Maybe:
- Focused on readability, "naturalness"
- Tons of features and aesthetics from human-made drawings
- Luxury of years of time to tackle difficult algs.
- Kept it language based for years, competitors focus on interactivity

So ... I'm working on a project for a presentation at work. I can't tell you how _perfect_ @Graphviz is for what I'm doing 😁

Interesting that LLMs can make graph descriptions, but could they just draw diagrams? Or could text-to-image diffusion models? Are diagramming aesthetics and constraints too absolute and combinatorial, not probabilistic enough?

I am so proud of my team @GraphPolaris! Received even presents today from @AlenZubic from relaymonkey.com (doing an awesome job setting up our on-prem cloud infrastructure)!

@melassady This is the recognition that you deserve. The best! Happy to have you in my direct research and social network.

Today I began an exciting new journey at Meta Reality Labs (Toronto) as Manager, Research Science, working on gesture learning interfaces.
The vision for the future of HCI as articulated by Meta (tech.fb.com/ar-vr/2021/03/…) is exciting and convinced me to try a new direction.
