@droppedballs_fb I don't really fully understand the idea of trading AR for practically nothing. He's still a kid and we absolutely no for a fact Dimes won't play an entire season. This feels like Shane is over it. Which shouldn't be an option for the guy who drafted him

I know I’m just a fan of the team, but atp I can’t see the direction the Colts are going. I know it’s March, but watching free agent after free agent get snatched up at key positions of need for the Colts is baffling to me.

@crice1620 @droppedballspod Since she approved that deal we have to assume Carlie is super aggressive however that deal did 2 things, It locked in D Jones for the next 2-3 years, it locked in Ballard for 2026. The only way doing that deal makes sense is if you thought you had a shot at the SB. Wild stuff.

@droppedballspod @michaelmangini I’m curious to see how aggressive we are in FA with this being Carlie’s first FA as the owner. The sauce trade is a trade I don’t see us making in previous seasons so I’m hoping we see the same in the FA market as well.

It’s funny some of y’all say women shouldn’t be in positions of power cause they’re too emotional, but then get emotional when Carlie doesn’t act off emotion and fire Ballard 🤣🤣. I get it’s been 9 years going on 10, and Ballard more than deserves to be fired, but she told y’all at the beginning of the season how she was evaluating this season 🤷🏾‍♂️. Y’all problem is you don’t listen lol.

@droppedballspod Ballard has been really poor at drafting edge , not too bad at FA / trades for edge so I'd think going the FA route when you have limited draft picks. LB he has been good at drafting, if Walley is healthy he fills Kenny's spot. Who knows if you need to replace Mooney or Cross

@michaelmangini I think you have to get at least 2 EDGEs in FA and 1 in the draft, or 1 in FA and 2 in the draft. I think LB can be addressed in the draft and CB. Don’t know what we do with Cross.

@droppedballspod I think you need to get an edge in FA , Buck might be on the downside or may not fully recover (he will be 32) I think Kenny and Zaire need to be moved and Mooney might retire. That's a big rework.

@michaelmangini Defense I don’t think is a rebuild, but you definitely have to adjust philosophy on that side of the ball when acquiring players whether draft or FA. We have drafted CBs, they just stay getting hurt. I’m hoping Walley proves to be good, but I still think you add to that room.

@jimayello It doesnt make it tricky nor is it complicated. There are only 32 of these jobs and people will still want it regardless of the QB and lack of 1st rounders. Waiting another year or two to make the job more appealing is a massive waste of time.

Should the Colts embrace a hard reset? Feels like that's what many fans want -- and I get it -- but is that what new ownership wants? Frustrating as it may be to hear, this is a complicated situation. The lack of stability at QB and the lack of draft resources make it tricky.

@HolderStephen The better , healthier team won. It was a valiant effort down Jones, AR, Buckner, Sauce , Mooney ... winning with a 3rd string QB is very rare , especially away against a top team . It sort of is what it is.🤷🏻‍♂️

This is actually a super rational response -- one of the few. Totally agree. Shane is sometimes his own worst enemy. He called the game exactly the way they needed to. They just didn't have enough at the end of the day.

The 2026 1st means nothing to me, Ballard would have likely traded out of the round for players that wouldn't have seen much playing time their rookie year. It's the 2027 1st that can be a real gut punch if next season isn't a replica of what we've seen this year.

@TheDestinAdams Here's why I don't think it happens or makes sense. I don't think he's healthy at all ( he only has 4 sacks in a contract year) I don't think they can fit his remaining contract under there cap. His cap hit for the season was 18+mil , half of that is almost 10

Realistically speaking - the reason nobody is saying anything about Carlie is because she was doing this way before she became the owner of the Colts. It’s only getting highlighted now because Jim passed and passed the Colts team on to his daughters.
