Who’s failing to do the “heavy lifting” here? Would YOU do it for a patient whose reported symptoms you seem to refuse to take seriously?

@Saikmedi @Dontcallmejunor @NYC_essentialSW A lot of people live undxed w/ things like crohn’s and IBS. I was sero neg for celiac before repeat confirmation via endoscopy. If they report symptoms get better w/o gluten, as a dr, why not listen? Why is it easier for you to believe they’re lying or stupid?

@Saikmedi @Dontcallmejunor @NYC_essentialSW That “likely” does some heavy lifting. I have endoscopy-confirmed celiac. I see the head of the UCLA celiac program. He says non-celiac gluten intolerance is real. Gluten intolerance is also a symptom of lots of other autoimmune diseases, MS frequently among them.

@Saikmedi @NYC_essentialSW My dad, who is a doc, says gluten intolerance is fake. No clue if he is right or wrong. Then again my dad is old school and still makes house calls.
