It definitely means something lol. Means yall were fine with being, at bare minimum, complicit in segregation and racism until others started changing with the times first. Also, the main reasons you guys didn’t play us for 24 years, is not only the race issue, but recruiting. Rupp was scared that he’d lose recruits to UofL if he played them and gave them a platform since at the time UofL was a smaller school. Bro was terrified that we’d steal the best in state talent and also potential tarnish his legacy by losing to us considering we were one of the top programs back then consistently.

@michaelps2k With black players just like they did in football. It was frowned upon and sad but was a part of the times, this means nothing in the scope of anything that came after lol 😂

They literally refused to play Louisville for 24 years, partially because we had black players lol. During those 24 years, we played some of the best basketball in the country. Not only were they racist, but they were scared.

A lot of people really don’t understand that my hatred of UK runs deep. My mom was 1 of 14. They were all UK fans. A lot of them very racist and I had to watch the rivalry games with them and listen to them bash all the black players UofL had. Yeah, it’s always f**k UK here.

We were one of the first schools to desegregate long before the Civil Rights Act and also was one of the first big schools to recruit black football players back in the early 50’s. So yes, there is a massive difference. We made the move pre Civil Rights Act potentially causing litigation against our university, whereas yall waited 6 years after to finally cave to the pressure lol.

@michaelps2k Uofl had their first black basketball player in 1962 and uk did in 1969 3 years after one first played in 1966 it’s really not some major difference, and also considering they played mostly southern teams it was a good thing those guys weren’t put in danger

Jumping up and down ≠ injury free lmao. Basketball is a physical game. One bad fall and his injury could’ve gotten much worse. It’s about risk with a kid who’s projected to be a lottery pick. Again, I’m not gonna speculate on someone else’s injury when we don’t have the facts, just word of mouth rumors lmao.

@michaelps2k You right believe the guy that took millions and was clearly jumping up and down on sidelines celebrating and doing all that but couldn’t play, difference between injured and hurt, and no matter what the issue regardless it don’t look good on him just like it don’t on JQ

Much as I’d want him back, I think this is bs. Not gonna speak on the back injury too much cause we don’t truly know the severity, but part of me thinks he only sat out like he did cause he was protecting his body from further injury to avoid any draft stock fall

SEC never had any actual rules against it, it was just an unspoken agreement amongst the schools in the conference because they were all anti integration racists lmao. After the Civil Rights Act got passed they switched their tones and even then it still took UK basketball 6 years before recruiting a black athlete. Rupp was very clearly by his actions at the least anti integration which is racist lol. There’s nothing proven about what you said about him warning players about going down south. The most we know is he tried to get Wes Unseld in the mid 60’s but he chose UofL over UK. Regardless, none of what you said refutes that UK refused to play UofL in big part because we had black athletes. The only time we did meet was in the NCAA tournament and we beat yall. Northington was the first SEC school to have a black player in a football game.

@michaelps2k But still couldn’t win the championships, the commissioner at the time for the SEC didn’t allow UK to play teams with black players not the school itself, Rupp was one of the coaches in the conference that was early in the process of trying to get a black player to play for them

So it is he said she said with people in the org lol. I don’t like to just go off of rumors with stuff like injury fam. Kid clearly wanted to play today to where a reporter had to wait for him to stop crying before starting up an interview. I can’t shit on that just cause a donor said someone else said that they heard, blah blah blah lol.

@michaelps2k Yet maybe he didn’t honor his part not because of himself but because of his “people” guarantee his back is good next week, but I bet his draft stock falls UNC doesn’t look like the move if Davis is fired but he definitely won’t be back at UofL next season no matter what

No, BPA at that high of a pick regardless lol. Contenders don’t only fill holes with their picks. They fill holes in free agency and then draft BPA to build for the future while also getting great competition for already rostered guys. This is literally how EDC thinks and drafts lol

Extremely stoppable. DCs will load the box with extra defenders bc they don’t fear the Ravens pass catchers & an under funded OL won’t be able to hold up How many more times do we need to see this scenario play out (every single playoff loss during the Lamar era are the prime examples) until ppl realize shiny RBs don’t make an iota of difference without capable blockers & defense- stretching receiving targets???
Michael@michaelps2k

If he’s there I think you take him. Think of a backfield where you have to worry about Derrick Henry and Jeremiyah Love, not to mention Lamar fucking Jackson… it would be near unstoppable 😮‍💨

Less about lying and more about not really knowing the kid personally or having those talks face to face. Sounds to me like he said she said and not verified stuff. Not saying it can’t be true, I just doubt it considering he clearly had a back injury earlier in the season and then clearly wanted to be out there these last two games to the point of literally crying cause he couldn’t go tonight lol

@michaelps2k The draft and come there instead. Idk why this guy would lie and he very well knows I’m not a Uofl fan. Said that they had enough of it and decided it wasn’t worth it.

🚨 Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson is still dealing with a lingering hamstring injury he suffered during the season, which forced him to sit out combine drills, and he’s not healthy enough to participate in the school’s pro day #nfldraft

@jakethegreat60 Eh I don’t buy that one at all. He’s far and away the highest paid guy on our team and maybe at the university as a whole. On top of that he was literally crying after the game today cause he wanted to play.

@michaelps2k He’s not hurt, actually know a donor who said the rumor around their meetings is that he wanted more money to play because his “people” thought he was worth more to the team. They gave him said money the first time but wouldn’t do it again, not the kids fault though completely

Need a RB1? We have Henry. Jeremiyah is a RB1 on almost every team besides us and a few others who are blessed to have great RBs. Lemon is a physical X like JSN, who also mainly got snaps in the slot in college. He’s a definite play sing threat and has a 66.7% contested catch rate with 3 drops throughout all of college. Not any other receivers period, doing that in this class, let alone slot receivers. Not with a lottery pick, which is basically what 14 overall is going to amount to for us. You go BPA, not need at 14. If Love is there, he’s BPA hands down depending on if Bain, Arvell, Styles, Downs, or Tate are there and then there’s a convo.

Get the RB of the future when you actually need a RB1. That is the worst possible position to succession plan Not keen on Lemon either. Slot WRs are abundant every cycle, 4 rounds deep usually Supply & demand econ 101 principles should guide roster construction. imo the lack of strategic investment/disinvestment is the main reason why our club hasn’t made a SB in the Lamar era Respectfully agree to disagree

Tate won’t be available and Tyson is so insanely injury prone that using a 14 on him is a 50/50 gamble. I would personally love Lemon if he drops but if Jeremiyah is there you can potentially get Bell at 45, Hurst in the 3rd or Lane in the 4th/5th while also still securing your line up. D Hen is 32. Don’t pass up on your for sure RB of the future out of what we view as a desperation move

@michaelps2k Fuck no. If we can't get Vega or Spencer Fano at #14, I'd rather go after a CB or Edge/DL. After letting Keaton Mitchell walk after not wanting to pay him $3.5 mill a year it woukd be so dumb to take a RB in first round. Henry, Hill, Ali will be good or we could get a RB later

Ravens Nation 𝙇𝙄𝙑𝙀@RavenNationLIVE

The Ravens land a potential future RB1 in latest mock. The Athletic projects RB Jeremiyah Love to fall to the Ravens at No. 14. With Derrick Henry now 32, Love could be the long-term successor in Baltimore’s backfield.
