I don't think people realize the licensing business Netflix is about to have if this deal goes through. Warner Bros. animated IP library alone would bring in billions in new merchandising revenue coupled with new versions of these iconic shows on the platform. Game over

- Chat will need to enable push notifications, text and email triggers. It’s the only way to capture full shopping intent. We submit ask, close out and do life- you have to drive users back in. -One request can turn into personal, relevant outbound messages with these wired.

ChatGPT’s Instant Checkout is an advertising data feed Instant Checkout, applied to ChatGPT’s 700MM weekly active users, provides OpenAI with the sine qua non of a scaled advertising platform: user-level conversion data. This data, wielded by the recently acquired team from Statsig, can be used to target ads to ChatGPT users on the basis of confirmed transactions routed to Etsy, Shopify, and whoever else onboards to the platform. Instant Checkout doesn’t strike me as a foray into agentic commerce: it’s the beachhead from which OpenAI launches its inevitable advertising business.

This is a BFD: The most annoying pain point unsolved by ATT today- bad reception. Elon finds this wedge and solves it. Once you build perfect reception which is what Starlink will eventually enable, you can accelerate the consumer adoption of switching from ATT to X powered by Starlink. X becomes your mobile carrier and all in one super app including a mini App Store world of (flip on an upsell from X premium subscribers to use Starlink’s service to juice adoption) — X is an expensive but interesting telecom customer acquisition strategy vs a media co. You own the E2E infrastructure of all telecom. You disintermediate ATT and Apple. This play is 🍌.

The first Starlink satellite direct to cell phone constellation is now complete. This will enable unmodified cellphones to have Internet connectivity in remote areas. Bandwidth per beam is only ~10Mb, but future constellations will be much more capable.
