Hi @BlueShieldCA, I pay $1,875.26/month for your Silver 70 PPO plan. This morning, I paid $1,250 cash for an MRI that you deemed “not medically necessary.” Yet it revealed a complex web of structural damage that finally explains the debilitating pain I’ve endured for months on end. I cannot take basic care of myself — and you don’t care. I deleted my Twitter account years ago. I had a strong following (former publicist). But I’m starting from scratch here, so I’m a “nobody” on X. Just like I’m a nobody to Blue Shield. I imagine that if your CEO needed an MRI to determine why she couldn’t walk, she would get one immediately. For me, you demanded:    •   A useless x-ray (that showed nothing)    •   Four weeks of PT before even considering authorizing an MRI This would have meant many more months before (possibly) getting this critical diagnostic information. I can’t even get in and out of my car, or go up one step, much less get onto a PT table without excruciating pain. An MRI would have informed a PT where to focus. So I paid $1,250 out of pocket in order to get some answers. It was not easy to figure out how to get an MRI without insurance. And I’m lucky enough to have the wherewithal (intelligence, time, resources) to navigate this nightmare. And now I’m supposed to grovel for reimbursement via your insulting and stressful grievance process? My copay should have been $350, but I’m kissing it all goodbye. Why? Why should I raise my blood pressure and cortisol levels even more by bothering to try? You already told me that you do not care: “This service is not covered because it is not medically necessary.” What a joke. When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. @recovery_your 👋 Family scapegoat here. It’s very lonely, as it is a hidden type of psychological torture, so no one even knows what it is, much less its lifelong effects. Even multiple therapists missed it. Has led to isolation, C-PTSD and more. I’m 60.

I want us to remind each other: we are not alone in this. Drop a hi 👋 or 🩵 in the replies if you relate. Let’s build community, and let’s stop trying to cope in silence. I want to talk about the men and women who are healing completely alone. No therapist. No support system that truly understands. No person in their physical life has the capacity to hold the full weight of what they are carrying. Just them. Reading twitter at midnight. Saving posts they will return to at 3AM. Building themselves back up using whatever they can find in the dark. If that is you, I want you to know that what you are doing is one of the most extraordinary acts of self-love I have ever witnessed. You showed up for yourself when nobody else did. You kept seeking when seeking was the hardest thing. You kept choosing growth on days when survival was already more than enough. This page is for you specifically. You are not alone in it anymore. Drop a heart below if you are one of them. I want to see how many of us there are.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS. If this reached you, the Universe is giving you a massive heads-up! We are stepping into one of the most intense cosmic windows of our lives. With Mercury Retrograde in Pisces and a chaotic Mars-Uranus square, the heavy, exhausting energy you’ve carried for the last 2.5 years is officially shattering. We are shifting from a cycle of silent struggles into an era of pure fire, action, and undeniable power. The upcoming March 3 Virgo Lunar Eclipse is bringing pure Divine Justice. Every time you were wronged, drained, or undervalued? The scales are balancing. But you have to do your part: drop the anxiety, let go of the past illusions, and stop trying to control how it happens. Let the dead weight fall. If you clear that space, March 6th to 8th will bring some of the most insanely lucky, abundant days of the entire year. Sudden breakthroughs, unexpected money, and massive life upgrades are quite literally written in the stars right now. Stop playing small. The era of suffering is over. Say it out loud: "I release the heavy cycles of my past. I am fully open to receive sudden miracles, wealth, and divine justice." The energy of this post is sealed. Type "888" to claim your breakthrough! RT to pass the blessing on.

Not that anyone would be surprised or care, but my @BlueShieldCA appeal was rejected. I'm out $1,250 for my own MRI. Plus more than $10 to snail mail a giant stack of documents. Paper, ink, time going to the post office... more stress. "Because all Californians deserve top quality care." "Get peace of mind in managing your health." PS: Learn to use a hyphen, @BlueShieldCA. In your fantasy world, it's *top-quality* care. May all of your senior execs continue to get their top-quality care. I'm really happy to be funding it.

I'm a Gen X...Let me tell you about my youth back in 1983, when I first moved out. I worked a 10-hours a day for just over minimum wage...$7.25 an hour. Because my boss expected me to show up an hour early to “get up to speed” and stay an hour late to cover shortages, yet most days I only got paid for eight hours. Rent was $475 a month. I lived on Kraft Dinner and Ichiban noodles, with the occasional home-cooked meal at my mom’s. I learned to fix my own car because if I didn’t, it sat broken in the driveway while I walked 16 km to work in the morning (Very few Buses). My bank account usually held $5...the minimum to keep it open, so I could cash my paycheck when it came. My roommate and I collected empty beer bottles from neighbors just to afford groceries, and in the summer we picked fruit so we could get ahead enough to pay the power bill for the winter. So forgive me for a moment while I check the back of the closet to see if I’ve got a dusty old can of sympathy for your “hard done by” life… 🙄

American describes “What it’s like being young in 2025” This post has over 155k likes, Americans all agree no one can afford to live - She makes double minimum wage in her state and has $10 on her bank account - She lives with 4 roommates and can still barely afford rent and bills - Her car doesn’t work, it takes roughly 30 minutes of start/ stopping it to get it to run home, she can’t afford to fix it - 4 small items at Walmart she needed cost $40 draining her bank account - She is living off granola bars because she can’t afford food - She says there’s a housing crisis “Remember back in the good old days when a man could afford to feed, raise, house his family on minimum wage — You guys had it so f*cking easy and then you destroyed everything behind you. F*ck you boomers”
