@Herring1967 @YorkCityFC True. The weighting of that playoffs was in your favour as well. With Oldham having to play a game extra and you having home advantage. Both clubs shouldn't be at that level. Hope you push on for next season and go that one step higher.

I used to come on ere moaning after a defeat nowadays I just can’t be arsed it’s just like another day now,but I must say it’s the worst United team I’ve seen,and I saw some shit in the late 70.’s and early 80’s but I will keep the faith 🙌🏾🇾🇪

In February 2015, a BBC journalist, Stuart Flinders, was in Liverpool asking people about the 1967 Merseyside derby. He randomly interviewed Tommy Lawrence, not knowing he was the former Liverpool goalkeeper who played in that game. When Flinders asked if Lawrence remembered the match, he replied with pride, “I do, I played in it.” This unexpected encounter went viral, showcasing Lawrence’s humility and the joy of chance meetings. Tommy Lawrence, fondly remembered as “The Flying Pig,” passed away in January 2018, but this moment remains a beloved piece of football folklore.
