I didn’t agree with how shouty he was at times but he had the heart and humanity of the character, not to mention charisma that Cavill lacked. I do think Cavill could have been good, Snyder fucked him over bad.

The idea of Superman acting like an emotionless robot didn't come from the comics it came from Superman Returns and Man Of Steel

The number one concern for most Superman fans is: Does this guy LOOK like Superman? Secondary are his actual acting skills. Cavill was superlative in the former & decent in the latter.
